WHAT TO EXPECT

In this DigiBix our speakers will explore the future of ecommerce. What trends are they seeing and how are customer expectations changing? Famously, John Lewis stopped complimentary click-and-collect on orders under £30 and this poses the question, can online retailers continue to fulfil the ever-increasing demands of today's customers?

With so much competition and giants like Amazon offering unique, speedy delivery options and cut-price products, what can brands do differently to stand out? We're inviting household-name brands to share their stories and experiences. DigiBix is peer-to-peer and we operate a 'no sales people or presentations' policy, so you know you'll hear honest and open talks, sharing real-life examples, advice, headaches, and most importantly, solutions.

Online sales make up 13% of the total UK economy and this DigiBix will also address the industry as a whole. What trends are we seeing, will mobile continue to dominate, what other ecommerce mechanics are gaining momentum?

We will announce our speakers shortly and if you'd like us to stay in touch, please register your details below and you'll be the first to know about updates to October's DigiBix.

the schedule

9:00 – 9:15 AM – Arrive, network & breakfast

Breakfast at the Soho Hotel is not to be missed. Enjoy breakfast on us, including breakfast sandwiches with fresh fruit, orange juice, tea and plenty of coffee. Over breakfast you'll mingle with the other attendees, as DigiBix has a strict 'no sales people' policy you're sure to find this time extremely valuable.

9:15 – 9:20 AM –  Introduction to DigiBix

9:20 – 9:40 AM – Rob Smith, Managing Director, Blueleaf

In his talk Rob, will share some of the best examples of in-store ecommerce. Who's using it in a unique way, where does Rob thinks this trend will go and what will the store of 2016 and beyond look like? You'll hear inspirations, advice and some serious questions to ask yourself about what your store will look like and what you need to address now, in order to get there.

9:40 – 10:00 AM – Andrew McClelland, Head of Industry Insight, IMRG

In his talk, Andrew will discuss the ecommerce industry trends and patterns that he explores on a daily basis. Andrew works with global, household-name brands so he is in a very privileged position to view the industry as a whole and to form a non-biased perspective on where the industry is headed. In his statistics-driven talk, Andrew will explore the analytics behind his predictions and leave you with fact-supported insights about the future of ecommerce.

10:00 – 10:25 AM – Break, biscuits & coffee

More time to chat to peers, make new connections and continue the conversations you started earlier. We'll provide more tea and coffee along with a selection of sweet treats, including the hotel's speciality brownies, which trust us, are to die for.

10:25 – 10:55 AM – Open Forum

DigiBix is a small audience of retailers-only. In this open forum, we invite the audience to ask our speakers and each other questions and to share thoughts, ideas, headaches and stumbling blocks. You may be inspired to ask questions after hearing our speakers or you may come to the event armed with a burning question. If so please let Kate know and she'll add it to her list.

10.55 - 11:00 AM – Wrap up event end - We always finish on time
